Is it easy to get hired at Target warehouse? ›

When asked in an Indeed survey about the difficulty of their interview at TARGET DISTRIBUTING Center, most respondents said it was easy. Indeed's survey asked over 118 respondents whether they felt that their interview at TARGET DISTRIBUTING Center was a fair assessment of their skills. 68% said yes.

Generally, most Target stores are open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, seven days a week. This means that most Target employees work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. They may also work the occasional evening shift, weekend shift, or holiday shift, depending on the store's needs.

You can update your Desired Hours anytime you want. The best place to do this is as of March 2023 is the "MyTime For Target" app on your Zebra/ MyDevice. After going into that app, click the "three little lines" in the top left corner, and a menu will drop down giving you the option "Change Desired Hours".

Ensure accurate processing of merchandise to our stores and guests. Work safely, quickly and efficiently to handle freight and move inventory throughout the warehouse. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.

During the interview

Try to keep your interview conversational. Manage your response time to each question. Aim for about five minutes per question. Give responses that relate to the required skills and Target values mentioned in each question to succeed in the job.

However, according to some reports, the acceptance rate for Target job applications is around 5%, meaning that only a small percentage of applicants get invited to an interview.

The pay is pretty good though. And it's nice that you can do 3 12-hour shifts a week.

We offer flexible work schedules, but we require our on-demand team members to work at least one four-hour shift every four weeks.

As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.

Completing an application

Most people apply online and the hiring process typically takes a few weeks. If you're applying for a team member position, you'll most likely have an in-person interview.

Working as a Target Team Member is great as a first job or a part time job, but not as a career. There is little room for internal promotion and going "above and beyond" will more than likely lead you to be taken advantage of. Salary increases only happen once a year and it's usually around $0.10 an hour.
